Laura Bush and Sarah Palin at Complete Women's Expo 2010

Former First Lady Laura Bush, and Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin are confirmed featured speakers at the first annual Complete Woman Expo in 2010 in Wilkesboro, NC - an event being planned and organized by Blue Ridge Educational Resource Group. The event will be held on the MerleFest Grounds of Wilkes Community College on June 5th, 2010 from 8am to 6pm.

The purpose of this event is to motivate, inspire and equip women of all ages in the region to find purpose and reach their full potential as businesswomen, entrepreneurs, wives, mothers, etc. There will be no entry fee.

Also, a ticketed luncheon for 75 will be held with Laura bush at noon. These tickets will be available for $500.00 each. The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation will also receive 20% of these sales. Mrs. Bush will be speaking after the luncheon at 1pm.

Sarah Palin will be speaking at 4:00pm, and will be holding a book signing for the first 75 people who purchase tickets.

Vendors will be attending specializing in women's apparel, purses, makeup, accessories, etc. A snack tent will have free food and beverages during the entire day. Musical performances will be held throughout the event including Nichole Mullen, and local group, Chosen.

The event will be used to publicly thank women for their service to our nation as wives, mothers, educators, public officials, business owners, and the many other ways they serve.

50% of the proceeds above cost will be divided among national and local charities, such as the aforementioned commitment to the Susan G. Komen breast Cancer foundation, with other portions going to the Wilkes Community College Endowment Fund, Communities in Schools, Ebenezer's Christian Children's Home, SAFE, and the Wilkes Crisis Pregnancy Center, etc. Funding for the event will be entirely through sponsorships, advertising, and brunch/luncheon ticket sales.
